Connection

You’ve probably heard of “six degrees of separation.”  It seems like in the leadership world, it’s more like 2-3.  This website is a fantastic example and resource for connecting.  Connecting happens on several levels. 

There is connecting to ourselves.  “One must first learn to lead himself before leading others.”  Topic groups may choose to explore learning around self mastery, leading by example, and personal development.  As leaders, we are often the “glass ceiling” for those who follow.  It is vital that we continue to raise the bar for ourselves in terms of the way we lead our own lives. 

There is connecting to others.  This can happen via e-mail correspondence, topic groups, tribes, HUBS, etc.  The possibilities are limited only by your willingness to engage and your imagination.  Connection is a foundation for the other cornerstones of support, learning, and partnership.  The Ultimate Resource for Leaders is a place for leaders to exchange ideas, share knowledge and resources, collaborate on projects, and encourage and support one another.
