Mother Tree Painting and Prints

I am delighted to share The Mother Tree with  the members of CALL.  Much time and effort has gone into her creation and she is truly a labour of love.  Depicting her at sunset, I have attempted to capture her essence.  As twilight lengthens the violet shadows, the twin spires of her silhouette are outlined in gold and etched into our memory.  The original painting measures 30 x 48 inches.

This painting will be donated by me and my fellow Snakes to commemorate the closing of the Mother Tree retreat.  It will be held by CTI at the new facility, Wildwood, on behalf of the Snakes, the last tribe to complete the program at The Mother Tree and to immortalize the experience shared by us and all the tribes who have gone before us.

Just to let you know a bit about myself - I paint vibrant, colourful paintings on braced wooden canvases using an ancient technique called encaustic.  The translucent, pigmented beeswax and resin allow light to penetrate the layers and radiate out so that the paintings appear to glow.  Contemplating nature can lead to inner transformation.  I seek to point out the extraordinary in the ordinary.  My intention is to create images that serve as a “gateway” for connection to spirit.
